I often receive spam emails, but never open the attachment.
Especially those claim to be email from Microsoft with "attachment"
or any return delivery email failure notices from qmail.
Now, since I never open the attachment is it possible
the attached file (virus) remain reside in my PC until I scan
my system and automatically delete it, although
on the first place I delete the email upon receiving it.
In other word!..is it consider be safe just delete the email
without scanning the system periodically, since I never open
the file attachment.
I scan my pc today and found this virus as I'm sure it comes
from all the emails with attachment I've deleted.
