The 'pop3uidl.dbx' is something else (that tracks previously downloaded messages when you
leave a copy on the server).
I presume this is a POP3 account. If so, when you check the Mail box, it should add to
the log whenever you do a Send and Receive (IMAP and HTTP servers have their own check
box). After doing the Send and Receive, close OE and check for the POP3.LOG file again.
