No, perhaps my explanation was not detailed enough. There are *NOT*
multi-part messages (although if there is one in the highlighted list it
will process just like a messages that are not multi-part). I am using the
combine and decode function for a function for which it was *NOT* designed.
I am using the function to aggregate multiple attachments into a single
message. If you highlight 25 messages, each with an attachment, and click on
combine and decode, you end up with one message with 25 attachments. You can
then click on Save all and eliminate many, many steps required to save the
25 attachments individually.
My problem is, it doesn't always work. Sometimes you get one message with 25
attachments, other times you get one message with one attachment.
My question is this, for those times when you "decode" 25 messages that are
not multi-part and you only end up with one attachment, what thing is it
that caused OE to act different on this set of messages from the last set
that produced 25 attachments? In this case the attachments are always a
binary picture of some type. However, the problem is *NOT* that OE blocks
PCX files, because even when the 25 messages have, for example, five PCX
images, you get one message with 20 attachments and the "OE blocked...."
message for the PCX images.
What causes this apparently anomalous behavior?
