Yes sir,

I have Norton Internet Security 2005.

I have disabled the "Auto-Protect" feature of the AntiVirus software. This
is indicated by a red 'X' over the system tray icon.
I also went to the Norton AntiVirus options, and turned off ALL email
scanning, restarted my pc.
I also tried disabling the firewall, also indicated by a red 'X' over the
system tray icon.

Windows firewall is also disabled, as you wouldn't want two firewalls
running on the same pc.

So, in summary...
Turned off virus scanning completely...opened OE, same response.
Tured off ALL email scanning, restarted, opened OE, same response.
Then proceeded to turn off Norton firewall completely, opened OE again, same
response.

Could this be any SP2 problem?
This is a fresh XP Pro install. I just reformatted the hard drive, installed
XP Pro, then SP2, and here I am. :D

Thanks for any other advice you may be able to offer. Appreciate your
efforts!

Best Reards,
Adam Bryner
