If you referring to the dbx file "Pop3uidl", that file grows from
leaving messages on the server. You can delete the dbx file, (with
OE closed) and a new one will be created when you open OE. You may
have to Compact again to see results.
Unless you need to access mail from more than one location, or
identity, uncheck the option to leave a copy on the server. Also,
make sure none of your message rules have *Do not download from
the server* as the action for the rule.
