I am having the same problem with my "main identity" in OE. Everything
seems ok with my second ID and I can send with the main ID.

The problem seemed to pop up about 3 days ago when I allowed a live update
of Norton Internet Security to run while I was doing other stuff. This
update prompted for a restart which didn't go well and my PC hung up on
reboot. I shut down and restarted ok but ever since I have been getting the
dreaded:

"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'sbcglobal.net', Server: 'pop.ameritech.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '+OK 30663 octets', Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F"

I don't have any trouble with news groups and I have checked all my settings
as well as deleting my inbox.dbx and disabling e-mail scanning.....even
tried receiving while NAV and NIS were disabled....but no good.

I can see that my incomming e-mail count is up over 200 now but it hangs up
before downloading any of them.
