SBC has not implemented port 25 blocking everywhere. Some parts of south
central California, and some parts of Texas only, last I heard. The port 25
block does not appear to be in effect here, yet. I just tried it:

Note the line I bracketed; from a residential SBC connection to a non-SBC
mail server.

However, the OP's "swbell.net" domain suggests that she might be in a
blocked region.

FWIW, I think I will see if the MRB gurus will implement RFC 2476 any time
soon.
