One possibility is that you've select Tools, Options, Read, Get xxx headers at a time. In
that case, use Tools, Get xxx headers to get more headers.

You could also have a corrupted DBX file for the newsgroup. In that case, if you Right
click the newsgroup in the list folder list and select Properties, Local File, and RESET
the newsgroup, it create a new DBX file and the newsgroup will appear as if you had never
previously visited it.

Additionally, there is a glitch in OE where it can become confused as to the number of
news messages on the news server. Ironically, I've only ever seen this happen with
Microsoft new servers. Resetting the newsgroup might be a temporary fix. But the problem
will likely come and go until the news server gets cleaned up.
