OE - can't view e-mail messages in any mail folders

When I open OE it checks for new mail and I do see the new mail notification
in the system tray but cannot see any mail in any of my mail folders (both
new or old) messages, ie. inbox, sent....etc.

I did try re-importing from existing dbx folders found on my h/d as
recommended on another OE FAQ site but still nothing. Should I kill both OE
user accounts on my pc and start again and then re-import?
