Ive purchased XP w/sp2 from Comp USA today. I upgraded from 98se. All went
well but Outlook Express will not start.

Error message :
Outlook Express could not be started. The application was not able to open
the OE message store. ....x800C012E3

I searched for a .dbx file, none on the drive. I have my old os backed up.
The dbx was in an Identities directory under Windows 98se. XP doesn't have
this directory. The wab files are in the OE directory under program Files
OK. I did an sfc /scannow to verify the XP files to the distribution CD and
they are OK.

I tried to cash in one of my 2 free service calls w/Microsoft and they
don't recognize my PID number even though I cut and pasted it from the
General TAB.

Thanks
