Michael: yes, that must be the problem. I use Optimum Online for my personal
e-mail and so the ougoing mail server is mail.optonline.net. Incoming mail
server is also mail.optonline.net but I'm not having problems receiving
mail.

I'm not sure if it's possible to set up Yahoo or Hotmail as an account in
OE. But if it is, am I still likely to have a problem with VPN blocking
outgoing mail?
