IE & OE reinstall probs!!!

I have been having problems with IE & OE so I did the following registry
edit:

Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed
Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}
Modify the Value Data Type and Value Name as detailed below.
Data Type: DWORD / Value Name: IsInstalled
Setting for Value Data: [Change the Value from 1 to 0]

Components\{44BBA840-CC51-11CF-AAFA-00AA00B6015C}
Modify the Value Data Type and Value Name as detailed below.
Data Type: DWORD / Value Name: IsInstalled
Setting for Value Data: [Change the Value from 1 to 0]

I then re-booted and downloaded the IE6 setup program from the Microsoft
website but when I ran it a dialogue box appeared saying 'Setup has detected
a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup
cannot continue.'

Why can't I reinstall IE and OE?
