I got your message. I dragged the attachment (an *eml file) from the
message window and dropped it in an OE folder. I could open it in OE,
but it contained no attachment. It was however not a text file as you
wrote. It was a HTML file.
That makes me think you have OE set to read messages as plain text. When
you do that, a HTML message looks like a plain text message with an
attachment. Instead of trying to open the attachment, just press
ALT-SHIFT-H all at once to switch to HTML viewing mode (or click
View|Message as HTML).
If that is indeed the problem, you can turn off plain text mode by
clicking Tools, then Options, then on the Read tab, clear the check box
for "read all messages in plain text".
