You uninstall via Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. SP2 will be listed there.
For the IE pop-up blocker, go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy.
If you had another pop-up blocker installed prior to SP2, that might still be in place.
Use the following newsgroup for questions or problems with IE6
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser
You can also get to the Internet Explorer newsgroups via this web site:

There select Internet Applications then Internet Explorer
