A well meaning 'friend' asked me to turn off my firewall so that I could
send a picture through messenger. Now I can't turn it back on. It says "An
error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. a
dependency service or group failed to start"

I am on Windows XP, recently had multiple problems with SP 2 and had no end
of trouble removing it.

Some advice would be much appreciated.

Regards Chris.
