Tom -
Thanks for replying. I am working with Microsoft support on this now and
they have just bumped it up to a higher support level.
We have tried a number of things including what you suggested. We have
scanned for spyware and found none, ran without firewalls and virus scanners
which did not help, downloaded the latest jre from Sun which also did not
help. What I did not mention in the post is that so I could access the web
and read my emails in a timely fashion, I did install Netscape 7.2. It has
no problems at all and is currently running rings around IE and OE. I am
wondering if perhaps there may have been a problem with the SP2 install file
since we did discover some Java related DLL's did not get registered which
caused some java problems that were resolved when we registered them.
I am giving some thought to uninstalling SP2 and reinstalling it from a CD
rather than the download.
Thanks again for your response Tom.
