Stop Windows Messenger from Auto-Starting:

Go to Start>Run>Regedit>OK. Find and delete the
following Registry Key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    \Software
        \Microsoft
            \Windows
                \CurrentVersion
                    \Run
                        \MSMSGS - {Delete}
