Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools and you'll find the option for
Scandisk unless you are running Windows XP, in which case, you can click
Start/Run and type: chkdsk /f which is the equivalent command for XP
systems. The addition of the /f switch tells the command to fix any
problems it may find. Please note the space between the end of chkdsk and
/f which is the fix switch.
