Looks familiar...can I recreate the error at will?

Yep, I sure can. Now somebody is going to beat me about the head and
shoulders because I took the cheap way out, and changed the destination
sever TCP port to 24 instead of 25. Well, I could have set a rule in my
firewall to block TCP port 25, but the error would be different.
The issue is with your dial-up provider; they are not letting you reach the
Yahoo! mail server because they are blocking port 25 out. Your best bet is
to try and convince Yahoo!, as a paying customer, to implement RFC 2476
email submission servers using SMTP AUTH and TCP port 587. (If you had a
local firewall blocking port 25 access, the error would be different.)
I'd try, but I only have a free Yahoo! account, and my ISP, SBC Yahoo! DSL
Service, expects me to use port 25 with 'smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com'. I have no
traction to get them to consider RFC 2476.
