Oh most probably. Getting over the IE5-IE55 hump while doing MSXML dev was
just SUCH a joy.

Please, let's not flail about looking to blame something. What hotwayd
provides is a POP to HTTP mail gateway and nothing more. It does not 'do
anything' to the content of the messages. Besides it has been working QUITE
reliably for more than a year. Besides, NONE of this has anything to do
with the protocol or method being used to retrieve the messages! Have we
not proved that already?

There's piece of the puzzle here that lies somewhere in how OE6 calls upon
IE to display a message. I've got some regmon logs tracking it and things
might get explained there. Recall that the difference between a working and
a failing one is the user profile. A brand new one does not have the
problem. Thus I'm inclined to think there's a piece of the puzzle that's
profile-related. This could well be in the HKCU key or potentially also on
disk. A comparision of the logs between OE6 running as the problem user and
as the working user is current step.
