Re: Problem exporting Address Book (Export grayed out)

I use the newserver provided by my Internet Service Provider,
Cablevision Optimum Online, and that message is not there. I will have
to check Google from now on since I now see they do not carry every message.

I normally do "munge" my email and ReplyTo addresses when posting to
Usenet but this issue was too important to take the chance that someone
who had the answer may not be able to contact me. I have even seen some
people say that they never reply to help someone unless the person posts
a real email address. Spam is already so pervasive that between my
Optimum Online bulk email filter that they use before I even get my
email (which, believe it or not, you cannot opt out of) and my JunkSpy
filter that runs on my computer, almost all the junk is filtered to a
separate folder anyway and a little more will be hard to notice.

Thank you for your response. Are you saying that my friend is out of
luck and there is no way to backup and protect her combined email
address book and mailing list?

Are you saying the only solution is to export just the email names from
the main Outlook Express screen, make screen printouts of all her
mailing lists and then make that registry change, import the names back
and rebuild all her mailing lists manually from the printouts?

Thanks for your help.
