That's what snipping is all about. Why waste bandwidth, or time? Just
<snip>.

That's what snipping is all about. Why would you need a keystroke to take
you to the relevant part of the message if people snip the no longer
relevant portions of the text? It's simple, considerate and makes for easy
to read (and follow) threads. But I'm here to convert anyone. I just had a
simple question.

That's what snipping is all about. ;)
Seriously, I'm from the old school of Usenet. That's probably pretty obvious
from the way I post. Where I come from, bottom posting is just flat-out
evil. The way I post, as shown here, it's a lot easier to follow multiple
conversations in several newsgroups at a time. Top posting may make things
simple for the occasional user, but for dealing with any volume I've found
that it just isn't effective. That's also, I daresay, why bottom posting is
(or always has been) considered proper netiquette.
YMMV.
I never had this problem with Netscape. Of course, I had a lot of other
problems instead. <gbg>
