Basically the question is, "How to I delete an entire thread for a
blocked sender." That I don't think can be done in OE. I'd love to do
that, too. There are some trolls and pueriles that I killfile (with a
news rule to delete their post) but replies to the deleted post are
still retrieved and seen.
The rules in OE are minimal and very impotent. You can't search for
particular header strings. You cannot search for, say, the Reference
header in the replies to delete those containing the Message-ID of the
killfiled poster. I'd also like to search and flag (or delete any over,
say, 5 days) posts from senders using Microsoft's "communities" web
interface by looking for "X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO" but alas OE
doesn't let you check for specific header strings. I don't know if even
Forte Agent can do that (but I'd like to hear if it can). It might do
the simple header string search for "X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO" but I
doubt it can be programmed to capture the Message-ID value for a
killfiled post and then delete any other posts that use that value in
any position within their References header.
