Tools>Options>General. Uncheck: Send and Receive at startup and
Uncheck: Check for
messages every xx minutes. This won't fix it, but it will stop the
mail from coming until you hit Send/Receive. Either delete
everything from your Inbox or move to a folder you create. The Inbox
has a limited capacity and will become corrupted. You can move or
Delete en masse by clicking on any message, then Ctrl+A will
highlight the entire list. Right click and move to the folder, or
just delete if you want.
Someone should be able to provide you with a permanent fix.
