Did you mean to ask, "What is 'a' DBX file? That is a file extension. Look
in your MSOE message store for a file with the name of the newsgroup
followed by ".dbx". For example, this group would be found in your message
store as "microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress.dbx".
You can find the location of the message store by going to Tools > Options >
Maintenance, then clicking on the "Store Folder" button. READ! Do not alter!
the "Store Location"; that is the folder on your HDD where the .dbx files
can be found for that Identity. Use the Windows Explorer, the file managing
program, to go to that folder. If necessary, unhide extensions. Look for a
file ending in .dbx, with the name of the news group in front of the
extension. Delete that file; with MSOE closed.
