Assuming you are using the same news server on both machines, create a
subscription for the account and download a minimum number (say 100)
messages from the newsgroup on the computer you wish to transfer the file to
so that you create a DBX file for that newsgroup. Now close Outlook Express
on both machines. Find the 24MB file on one computer (where it already
exists) in your message store folder and copy it to a CD. Take the CD to
the other machine and copy it to the hard drive on your Desktop. When it's
been copied to the Desktop, right click it and remove the Read-Only
attribute that is created when a file is copied to a CD. Now locate the
message store folder on that computer and copy the newsgroup.DBX file to the
message store to overwrite the existing one you created which has only 100
messages. Now open Outlook Express and you should be able to read it.
Nobody said it would be easy. Newsgroups are not imported from one computer
to another without a hassle.
