You're welcome alba.

Hi Tim, Not sure how but the application "C:\Program Files.... ya- da.... had become incomplete and I added the missing "/mailurl:%1" to the address/command you suggested. I also went into regedit, as suggested by Ramesh and made the suggested alteration there, before closing down and rebooting - of course I made a back-up of the original reg value before making any alteration - and hey presto! On rebooting, I right-clicked the newly created "New Mail Out" shortcut on my desktop and chose Properties and sure enough, the elusive Web Document tab had reappeared and I was able to change the shortcut icon to something more distinguishable for me and opening the shortcut gave me a new blank message template, all ready for me to enter recipient's address - just like the*.eml shortcut did! So now, with customized mail icon, I'm a happy bunny again! I'll keep the *.eml shortcut on my desktop but my new easily recognizable blank mail icon can stay sitting neatly on my Quicklaunch taskbar ready for use at any time... Again, thanks to all who helped! Cheers, alba >-----Original Message----- >Hi alba, > >Yes, that's the place.
