Hi Robert,
Short of attaching a .txt file, I haven't heard of a multi-format e-mail
message. Any text you type in the rich text message should be able to be
displayed as plain text with the formatting removed. An example of this is
toggling between rich text and plain text format when preparing a message
for sending. Of course, all the rich text formatting (color, pictures, etc.)
would be lost to the recipient if read in plain text.
The message source of a rich text message will show the text as plain text
(Content-Type: text/plain) without the formatting. The text would most
easily be added with Edit, but Source has occasional advantages with special
characters.
