There is no simple answer other than giving you examples of what you have
done wrong to get Spam in the first place. I get plenty of Spam on one email
address and NONE on others. My wife gets very little on her email addy. You
would have to change your email address and start over and avoid the bad
habits that invite Spam to begin with. Spam can be delivered by allowing
your email address to be passed on in several ways.
1) Maybe the number one way you address gets passed along is by other
people that insist on forwarding it to everyone in their own address book.
Certain people think they are doing a favor to everyone they know by
believing the what they read in a message with a little joke or helping hand
come-on that is designed to farm valid email address for the express of
Spamming. There isn't much you can do about this unless you explain the
rules to all your contacts.
2) Scan your system regularly for spyware.
3) Do not allow cookies to be loaded to your system
4) If you visit a trash site you will be Spammed
5) If someone else uses your system you probably will be Spammed.
6) Learn to use 'Rules' in Outlook Express and other such features in other
browsers if you use any.
7) After you change your Email address to start a new go to Spamex.com and
read how to use this remailer.
I am sure that others can add to this list of methods to avoid Spam.
