your outbox.dbx file may be corrupted.

The short of memory / disk space error is a sort of drop through catch all
that doesn't usually point to the real problem. Assuming you have no
messgaes stuck in the outbox (unlikely but you may want to just check it)
deleting that and allowing OE to create a brand new one may easily fix the
problem.

For future reference the repair IE/OE function doesn't usually do any good
where "User" data is concerned since it attempts to preserve "User" data by
leaving such files alone.

recover in this way and how to do it.
