Cannot see emails

I am running OE 6 on Windows XP. I am able to download emails into OE, but I only see the email headers. I cannot see the email contents itself, either in the preview pane or by double-clicking (only an hourglass appears where the contents should).

As suggested in other I have tried running regsvr32 inetcomm.dll and also CWShredder and AdAware, but those didn't help either.

Your help would be appreciated.
