Charlie, thanks for the response. Yes, I do the compacting at least once a
week, and I do it offline.
I do think that you other advice and methods sound great, but I don't think
your post answers my specific question. Mainly, how can I prevent the
"new" downloading of 500,000 headers when I don't want them ????? I will
however keep your email and info for future reference.
