After downloading the cumulative patch for outlook
express in April my computer started generating a
spontaneous file labeled with a tilde( ~ ) that cannot be
opened as an icon on my desktop. The file is generated
any time I open a word file from outlook express.
Through the Dell community forum I have been told that
this is apparently benign but the result of the former
downlaod. My options are to remove the cumulative patch
or download an appropriate update from microsoft but I
can't seem to find an update that suits this problem. Any
suggestions?
thanks
