First of all, please see reply from Frank Saunders. This option will
quickly locate your posting if someone has replied to it. Otherwise,
you'll either have to sort by descending date, and check the most
recent messages, or use the Find option.
Whether or not 300 new messages is enough depends on which newsgroup
is involved and how long you wait to check. Truthfully, I would not
expect there to be a problem unless you couldn't get back to the newsgroups
for a week of more, and no one replied to your post.
Also, it's been my experience that postings & replies usually appear in a
matter
of minutes.
