unable to click on hyperlinks in OE

Hi, a couple years ago or so I had this same problem and fixed it but can't
remember how I did it. My friend is now having the same problem. He got a
new Dell and with OE he is unable to click on a hyperlink embedded in the
message and open the link. Can anyone help me to help him? Would appreciate
any and all help.
