You might be better asking in the group for your OS rather than the OE group
and also consider the OS "Security" groups which may help you prevent other
issues.

I've tried messing around with the NNTP server supplied with Windows 2000
Advanced Server and it's not what I'd describe as straightforward, at least
not to get the security and performance you want.

Also remember that it does involved some restrictions of your own personal
use... I mean you can't just reboot without inconveniencing others etc etc.
If you have a spare PC fine, even an older slower one will do.

If you are looking for something cheap for personal use try places like
www.sourceforge.net and if can dig up an old P350 or greater consider a
dedicated machine. Heck, there's sure to be some free stuff around for Linux
too if you want.
