Good evening Roland, The files on the CD that were not
copied within folders, were dragged singly from the root
OE6 folder on the HD. That was because my HD was dying
and I wanted to get as many files as I could that were
important to me, so I picked and chose. Some other OE6
files were brought over to the CD within folders and they
were imported Ok to new HD and into OE6, I can open them,
they are there.
The ones that are giving me the trouble are those that
are not within folders on the CD. I can check the
attributes on all of them, they are READ ONLY and of
course I cannot change them on CD as we all know. I have
copied these *.dbx files to the desktop where I can
uncheck read only, no problem here. I have made a new
identity in OE6 because there is no "folder.dbx" present
with these files. I then copy these files to the new root
for the new identity. I am trying to then import from the
new identity to my main identity...no success at all.
As for not replying to original threads, I am very new
at forums, I thought I had to open a new dialog each time
to answer your replies. I am sorry for causing you
inconvenience, mea culpa!!
Thank you for your kind assistance it is greatly
appreciated mon ami,
DickJ65
