Provided you only use one E-mail address
all you need to do to get what you want is
Press Ctrl-h (View, Show replies to my messages)

Then, if you really want to, press Ctrl-a, Alt-M,t

Note that that view in fact shows you the whole thread,
actually even the whole group of common threads,
which isn't exactly what we asked for with that feature
but perhaps you will be happy with it. (It's one of the
reasons that I don't like replying to generic subjects.)
