Frank, could you elaborate on the cause of the problem
that you gave the workaround to and what, if any,
solution there is to avoid having to use the workaround?

I encounter this problem also, several times per week. OE
will just hang trying to retrieve a message. I also have
to use Browser access to the server to Delete the message
causing the problem. The message is inevitably SPAM with
a garbage Subject Line... I have to use Task Manager to
kill the msismn.exe (I think that's it... not a my home
machine right now) process and then when I restart OE
it'll retrieve the remaining messages.

It's really pretty annoying to have to use the browser
based interface to delete these eMails and often they'll
be 200-500 eMails backed up that I then have to wait to
retrieve. Is this a known bug and is there a patch to OE
that addresses not being able to retrieve eMails with
funky Subject's?

Thanks in advance,
Jon
