Re: Switching Identities

I have reinstalled OE and IE, and downloaded only the
patches from windows updates!
;SP1;Q832894;Q330994;
I have removed and replaced the two identities.
I have disabled VirusScan for emails.
I have turned off message compacting for both identities.
VirusScan is already updated daily, and also system scan
carried out daily.
The computer I'm having these problems with is a brand
new computer that came pre-installed with Windows XP
+SP1a, and I haven't installed any P2P applications.
Tried disabling McAfee completely (with the network
connection removed;-) but it had no effect.

Problem still remains.
(Sometimes if I leave OE in identity (b), then log on
using the forceid .reg or script file to identity (a),
the background inbox/folders stay with identity (b), but
it downloads messages for identity (a). This seems to
happen randomly, but ALWAYS if I change the address book
before leaving and changing identities.
Also obviously still have the problem that if I try to
switch identities OE vanishes and won't come back until I
reboot - but as you said we'll have to work round that at
the moment until the bug gets fixed.)

Thanks for all your help with this....if you have any
more ideas they'd be greatly appreciated!

Jo
