Re: Also getting blank e-mails

I've received quite a few emails that come through appearing to be blank.
I've tried to create a rule that will delete them if they don't contain
something... anything... they still made it though.

The problem: The emails that I rec'd were in white text on white background.
They appeared to be blank but in fact ... when I highlighted the text box I
could see the text. I don't know if this is the problem you are having but
it may explain why the rule isn't working... because the text is really
there.

Just a thought~ Deb

Hi PA Bear,

They're 1 KB in size. Blank? Well...blank is...ahmm....blank. No From, no
Subject, no body, no cc: no bcc:, nada, nothing nowhere, nil, zippa, 0,
vacant, void, nobody home, pfhifftt.....like that. ;-)

I've read some limitations as to what can be filtered with the Rules, so, I
was not sure if this type of mail might be filterable since there is to give
a clue what it is about. The only thing that shows up in the inbox window is
the closed mail envelope icon on the one end and the date on the other.
There is nothing much in the details either. But, from what I can make out,
it seems they are all coming from a cox.net origin, and I also use Cox
cable. You mentioned Hotmail accounts before here, from one to mine, could
this maybe be something similar? I've have not received one of these in my
Hotmail or Yahoo account.....yet.

At the bottom...last 3. I understood that the high priority Rules should
always be at the top of the list, and then depending on the level of
irritation or threat they present on down. But, since these are to be
deleted from the server, should they be at the top? The others are just set
up to be Deleted (to the Delete box). I was not sure how this type of Rule
worked as to placement in the list.

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

Jan :)
