Are you willing to tackle a fairly simple project? I know about an IMAP
server which can be set to run on one computer. That computer must always be
on for access, but with the IMAP server running, you just set up an IMAP
account in MSOE on each computer.

You need not set up the SMTP service. You might want to check out the POP3
Distributing Client, though. If you are connected via ICS, you can limit
access from the Internet by selecting the LAN adapter exclusively, instead
of the default "any adapter" installation. Between that and a firewall,
nobody on the Internet will know that you are running a server.
