outlook express import messages

Please help me with importing my old messages back into outlook express 6.
The problem is I had a Trojan horse and had to format my drive. I moved my
current email folders to another drive and now I am trying to import them
back but I keep receiving the following message.

"No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running
that has the required files open. Please select another or try closing
applications that may have files open."
