Jim.........I just installed SP2 a few days ago from the CD I got from MS.
I always disable NIS/NAV when I install anything. When I click on
Help/About in OE it says: 6.002900.2180(xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)
In IE: same as above
update versions:;sp2;

Should I download SP2 from the MS website instead of using the CD? Hate to
disable my AV and firewall for that long :-) I have cable but it will still
take a while. I've also read several articles about installing SP2 in safe
mode........is this the way to go?

Donald: Spaz is not updated to SP2 according to his headers. Maybe a
corrupted install caused by an antivirus program running in the background
during an update. If there is a check in the Show Preview box, the image
should appear unless something has affected the file association for image
files. In that case, try changing the file association for all graphic
files as outlined at this link:
