Well, I'm hanging in there with you, A.
We all need to post more, even if it's one a day or one every other day.
We are losing people to the large combine and decodes, too so if we either
stream them or keep them smaller we'll do okay. I think Microsoft doesn't
care all that much and would prefer to just let us fade away but we need to
be here and stick it out, together. Our presence is what makes the
difference.

Almost a year ago; we saw the end of OE5.5.
We also saw waves of virus attacks on the servers.
Yet, we prevailed and continued posting. We stayed together and helped each
other out as best we could. July, August and September 2003 were the worst
months for our servers.
And yet, we still prevailed and continued posting.
Our sister group on dogagent came into being to help us ride out the posting
restrictions imposed on us on Sept. 26, 2003.
At that time; we were told it would be temporary. Then not long afterwards,
we were told that we could be moved to a private server on MS. And we, those
who are left; are still here under the same restrictions.
Well, it's almost the middle of April. Almost a year has gone by since the
problems first started occurring with the arrival of the swen virus that hit
in May of 2003.
And nothing has changed. Not for the better.
Not long ago...we had a rally to save stationery. That was an extremely
important Wet. There were hundreds of posts from all over the world. If we
could rally to save stationery...why aren't we rallying to save this group?
Where are we? How many are left now? Only a handful...
And...how many will petition for answers to all the problems that we have
been going through?
Our sister group on dogagent didn't divide us. That was a fear that many of
us had. Instead, we allowed MS to divide us.
Are we going to stand together and fight for this group? Or will we be gone
the way OE5.5 is?
I don't know about you but I'm fighting till the end. This has been "home"
to me. This is the place where I fell in love with stationery. This is where
I met some of the most incredible people in the world. This is where all of
you watched me try to post my first post...sixteen hours of trying before I
got that thing to land and look presentable...Uncle Gus, Don, Neville,
Fitzie, Robbie and a dozen more of you helped me that night.
I didn't know a darn thing back then...not even what a complete file path
was. Yet you were all there to help me.
Ralph and PaulG taught me to do ripples. Uncle Gus taught me to make
applets. All of you inspired me to learn how to script. Well, folks...I'll
be graduating in May. Will this "home" still be here for me to share and
give back at least as much as I received?
Please wake-up. Please help save this group. This may be the last chance we
have to do that.
Adriana
