Hi Paul,
I understand about the download time. I just used the wrong applet for
the tests. There are 13 images of aircraft in there. Definitely too many.
The applet is designed to be used on a website only, I guess. The class file
is "imagefader.class" An image fades out and another fades in. It is
designed to accomodate multiple images. The images are sized OK. I don't
know what you mean by weighted. As you look through the threads on the
tests, you can see that everyone is having an extensive download time but if
they wait long enough, they see it working. Don said that he waited 10
minutes but then it worked fine. I think that the 13 images just take too
much time to download. Had I used less images, it would have been better for
the tests purposes. Or, in the alternative, I should have used a more
appropriate applet.
I really appreciate your interest in and helping me. I know of no other
NG like this one with respect to getting help on any problem. Paul, THANK
YOU, for all the help!

  Hi Neo,
with respect mate I gave up after 2 mins...
do you have many images in there? what class files are you using..is it a
lake applet or something else?? in my experience lots of images being
called
up to one applet class file dont work well unless you have the appropriate
class file which is designed to accomodate multiple images...and the
images
  are appropriately sized and weighted..
I may be on the wrong track here Neo as I dont know what your applet is
  meant to show..

  Vicki,
Do you think the removal of the flashing frames
made a difference in download time? Again, thanks
  for your help!
