First, check that you're entering the correct username and password.

thank you for the quik respones, I have MSN as my ISP my defalt browser isdial's
internet explorer I click on IE icon, and the dialup box comes up it
up get's to varifing user name and password then error messege comes up718

You should be able to open IE, then have IE automatically start the
connection. Go to Internet Options> Connections> Dial whenever a network
connection is not present.
