GMail can be configured to work with POP access with just
about any email client, see GMail help pages.
Unlike Hotmail, GMail POP access is free.

| Hi,
|
| I use WinXP Prof.
| Using Google Mail alias Gmail (Web-Based E-Mail).
|
| I would like to use the "send to" function, in order to
easily send files
| via the internet. I would like to avoid using a local
e-mail client. If
| possible, I would like to create an entry in the IE
Options Menu (Standard
| E-Mail, like the one that exists for the hotmail web-based
email).
|
| I do not know how to set-up a webmail service on my PC. I
only found the
| standard setting for MS hotmail service. But no function
to configure other
| webmail clients that are pop enabled. I do not want to use
OE (Outlook
| Express), I soley would like to use a webmail client in
connection with the
| windows send to function.
|
| Anyone an idea or hint for. I searched the newsgroups, the
MS KB and Google
| Mail help - all effort without luck!
|
| Regards,
| Dan
.
