It works fine on another users profile (which I found out after
posting the original question so I guess its some sort of corruption
in the profile).

I'd tried the rest of the suggestions apart from the re-registering.
That was the bit that I couldn't find out how to do. I'll try it
tonight - might just save me reformatting the machine and starting
again.
