Problem Description: To Whom it May Concern,
Every time I try to download and install the Windows
Service Pack 1, I end up with an error message. The program
seems to download fine, but upon installation the process
gets to about 11% and then jumps to 100%, complete. Then I
get an error message saying something like there was a
problem during the installation and that some of the
components I downloaded were corrupt. Then I get a message
that asks me to restart my computer and try installation
again, but I just end up in a permanent loop of partial
installation and restarts. I tried downloading the software
again, then I tried deleting everything and then
downloading everything fresh, but continue to have the same
problem. This problem has gone on for so long that I no
longer use Internet Explorer, because my version--v 5.5--is
so old and I cannot get an update to download correctly.
Please Help.
Thank You,
Kent
